Ergonomics refers to the fit between people, the equipment they use and the environment where they use it. When injuries occur at work, whether from an accident, exertion, cumulative trauma, or repetitive motion, it is necessary to analyze the task demands and equipment to determine what features of the workplace environment contributed to the injury.
