  • We use several assistive devices to evaluate existing environments’ accessibility and usability for people with various types of disabilities. This includes employing a manual wheelchair and walker to evaluate clear floor space and area usability based on task demands.

  • The device used by our firm is the English XL Tribometer to evaluate walking surfaces to determine if they are slip-resistant for both wet and dry conditions. We evaluate slip resistance of walking and working surfaces.

  • The devices used by our firm are the Wagner force gauges FDK 5 and FDK 50. This testing is used in support of evaluating the amount of force needed to open doors and lift, push, and pull objects.

  • Our firm uses a photo meter in support of evaluating the illumination levels needed to perform various tasks.

  • This testing is used in support of evaluating the potential for injury related to the sharpness of toys and other consumer products and equipment.

  • The device used by our firm is the SmartLevel, consistent with specifications in numerous codes and accessibility standards. This testing is used in support of evaluating walkways and ramps to determine their accessibility.
